Celebrating in Seattle!
What a fantastic birthday celebration in Seattle! LOVED it! BIG thanks to my hubby for making it happen! We stayed at the Roosevelt Hotel, which was perfectly situated in the heart of downtown Seattle! And, just a few blocks from the world-famous Pike Place Market where we saw gorgeous blooms and flying fish! We loved our room, which had a great view of the city. And, my husband surprised me with champagne and fresh flowers (love Dahlia’s) from the market.
On my birthday we had a delicious dinner Cutters Crabhouse. Seriously the best food, cocktails and service ever! We started with the Dynamite Roll, which was dynamite (duh)! And, for dinner we enjoyed the Filet Oscar! Perfectly cooked medallions topped with crab, and melted in our mouths! When you visit Seattle, you have to try it, great ambiance and views of the Elliott Bay. After our meal, we stopped by Scout for an after dinner drink…or two 🙂 A cute place and the perfect place to end our first night.
Day two started the day off with a trip to The Starbucks Tasting Room. This is where they roast their beans and you can taste special brews that haven’t been introduced to the public yet. Loved enjoying my Flat White in a nice ceramic mug by the fireplace! And, picked up this cute sweatshirt C’est La Coffee!
Next up, a trip to Sam’s Tavern for the best bloody mary in Seattle! The sliders were so good and the bloody mary was perfect! Sporting my fave sunnies by Stella & Dot on this sunny day in Seattle. Sweater from my FAVE boutique in Davis, Shu Shu’s. If you haven’t been there, it’s worth a visit. Shu Shu travels the world to bring back incredible fashion to our small town of Davis, CA.
After Sam’s we walked towards the Space Needle and Chihuly Gardens, and stopped along the way at the Five Point Cafe. This is a great dive bar and open 365 days a year, 24 hours a day. Definitely worth a visit. You can dine on one side or grab a drink on the other side. Some of the best bumper stickers ever can be found on their walls! My Leather Moto Jacket was perfect for this dive bar paired with my signature red lipstick by Kylie. And, my new Rebecca Minkhoff x Stella & Dot Emory Pavé ear climbers had the perfect amount of edge!
Next up, the Space Needle! We had so much fun walking around and seeing all of the gorgeous Seattle views!
Afterwards we decided to check out Chihuly Garden and Glass, big thanks to my bestie Jenn for this recommendation. We LOVED all of it- it’s a must see on your trip to Seattle. Dale Chihuly’s work is so inspiring!
After our busy morning, we decided to visit La Buona Tavola for some wine and truffle tasting! Then, hit Pikes Place to see all of the beautiful flowers, where we fell in love with all of the Dahlia’s. It was so fun to see the fresh fish and we especially loved the flying fish at Pikes Place Fish Market.
All of that fresh fish got us hungry, so we went to the MBAR, a fun, rooftop bar for sunset, which was such a treat!! Great cocktails and ambiance, absolutely worth a visit. They serve food there too, which looked delicious. When we visit Seattle next we will be sure to visit MBAR again.
From the MBAR we headed to the swanky restaurant, El Gaucho. This place has a nostalgic feeling and was such a fun dining experience! We loved our meal and highly recommend it! With full tummies, it was time to sleep. Shout out to the Roosevelt Hotel for such a comfy bed. We hit the pillow and slept like babies at this boutique hotel.
On our last day we had fun visiting the original Starbucks at 1st and Pike! Then had the best crab cakes ever at Steelhead Diner. These crab cakes were like nothing we have ever tasted, you need to try them and you need to try them at Steelhead Diner! Loved the Alay Statement Necklace! This piece was designed by Lizzie Forunato just for Stella & Dot. Featured in Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and Women’s Wear Daily for her designs Lizzie designs unique and stunning pieces with a wide variety of materials. This piece is a braided leather collar featuring genuine freshwater pearls, natural wood discs and complementary beads all accented with a vintage gold finish. And, expect some variation as each piece is unique. I have it paired with my everyday Covet diamonds. If you don’t have a delicate layering necklace, put it on your wishlist – you need one!
Thank you Seattle, you did not disappoint! Hugs and Kisses, we will be back SOON. XO’s
